If you’ve got £350,000, you could get the same E-Type that Harry and Meg used for their drive to the evening reception of the recent big wedding.
The car in question was a 1968 E-Type Jaguar re-imagined for 2018. It has an electric motor and battery pack as in a modern electric Vehicle (EV). It has a 0-60mph of under 6 seconds – not a massive jump from the original 7 seconds, but hey it doesn’t use a drop of fuel and is great for the environment – not like the original at all!
This car – E-Type Zero was one of three battery-powered cars that Jaguar had showcased at an event called Tech Fest in 2017 in London. All the cars could reach a top speed of 150mph and have a real-world range of between 170 and 200 miles.
As Jaguar is pushing forward with new cars, such as the I-PACE (available from us), we can expect all of its cars to be electrified from 2020 onwards – let’s see.
